Brightwood Explorer Packets bring stories, hands-on learning, creative projects, real-world exploration, and meaningful family connection together in one themed experience.
Each packet gives families a flexible path to follow while leaving plenty of room for children to wonder, choose, create, and explore in their own way.
An Explorer Packet is a collection of Brightwood materials created around one engaging learning theme.
Rather than presenting children with disconnected assignments, each packet connects discoveries, projects, stories, movement, family activities, and community experiences into one meaningful adventure.
Families may follow the suggested journey from beginning to end or choose the activities that best fit their child’s interests, abilities, and needs.

THE EXPLORER PASSPORT
The Explorer Passport belongs to the child.
It is a personal place to collect stamps and stickers, record discoveries, remember field trips, add drawings or photographs, and celebrate meaningful moments.
Over time, the Passport becomes more than an activity book. It becomes a keepsake filled with the child’s adventures, accomplishments, ideas, and growth.
Brightwood uses stickers, stamps, badges, and other keepsakes to celebrate participation and growth without grades or comparison.

Select a themed Explorer Packet that sparks your child’s curiosity.
Prepare Together
Review the family guidance, gather any additional household materials, and let your child discover what awaits.

Ocean & Water Adventure
Dive into a family learning journey inspired by oceans, islands, marine life, water, conservation, and ocean safety.
Through four connected missions, Explorers will investigate, create, move, imagine, venture into their communities, and reflect on everything they discover.
The Ocean & Water Explorer Packet is currently being prepared and tested as Brightwood’s first themed adventure.

Star, Stripes & First Responder Adventure
Discover the people, places, and symbols that help shape our communities.
Explorers learn about community helpers and first responders while exploring safety, service, courage, gratitude, and ways children can contribute to their own communities.
Stories, creative projects, movement, and real-world experiences help children understand what it means to help, protect, and care for others.

Space Adventure
Blast off on a journey through the sun, moon, stars, planets, and the wonders beyond our world.
Explorers ask big questions, observe the sky, investigate how things move, and imagine what it might be like to travel through space.
Hands-on discoveries, creative projects, movement, stories, and family stargazing experiences bring the universe closer to home.

Aloha Adventure
Journey into an island-inspired adventure centered on nature, family, gratitude, connection, and caring for the world around us.
Explorers will discover Hawaii’s landscapes, ocean life, plants, animals, music, stories, and community traditions through respectful, age-appropriate learning experiences. The adventure will introduce the deeper spirit of aloha while encouraging families to explore kindness, responsibility, belonging, and care for the land and sea.
